We encourage all children in our school to wear the school colours (royal blue). Children can either wear logoed uniform or uniform in the correct colour from a high street store. All our logoed uniform is now available from Leopard Boutique at 26 Market Place, North Walsham, NR28 9BS. This includes sweatshirts, cardigans, PE shorts and t-shirts, Nursery t-shirts and plimsolls.
Along with the school coloured sweatshirt (royal blue), we encourage the children to wear dark grey trousers, dresses or skirts. In the summer months, the children may wear a school t-shirt, white or blue polo shirt or summer dress (blue and white). The majority of these items are available from chain stores.
Wearing school uniform helps children to have a sense of belonging to the school, and we hope it will also give them a feeling of pride in belonging to John of Gaunt Infant and Nursery School.
At John of Gaunt we are fortunate in having excellent outdoor facilities and we like the children to be able to access the field for most of the year, therefore a pair of Wellington boots is essential.
For safety reasons no jewellery should be worn in school. If children have pierced ears, stud earrings are allowed only if parents accept responsibility for them. Children should not wear earrings on P.E. days.
Please ensure that all clothing and footwear is clearly named.
